The relevant provisions of our university’s Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations regarding make-up exams are as follows:
ARTICLE 27 - (1) Students who are unable to attend midterm assignments or exams due to valid excuses may apply to their respective faculty/school within one week following the end of the exam/assignment week. If the Faculty Administrative Board accepts the application, the make-up exam is scheduled by the respective faculty/school.
(2) A make-up exam may be granted under the following circumstances: a) A medical excuse documented with a report issued by a fully equipped healthcare institution; b) The death of a close relative (mother, father, sibling, spouse, child, etc.) on a date that prevents the student from attending the exam, supported with official documentation; c) Unexpected situations such as traffic accidents, fire, flood, earthquake, or demolition, documented with official reports; d) Detention and/or arrest, documented with an official record from authorities; e) Schedule conflicts between midterm exams of courses taken from other faculties/departments and the student's registered program; f) Other excuses accepted by the relevant administrative board.
(3) A student who submits a medical report is not allowed to attend any exams or coursework on the reported days. Any exams or assignments attended during this period will be considered invalid.
